Before taking on his current position Martinez was director of Safety Training and Compliance for Transmission & Distribution at SCE. In the past, Martinez served as director for Safety and Compliance for Power Supply and Operational Services. Over the course of his thirty years working at SCE Martinez has held several senior positions within corrective action and improvement initiatives, including roles in the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) which focused on protecting workers and the public from hazards.
