Carey who's 5'10" tall and was once an iconic American models for fashion. Designers of the top calibre, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren were awestruck by her. In 1979 the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists named her father Scientist of The Year. Carey's father was a geologist who traveled the globe as a part of his profession. Modeling began part time when she was a student studying at college at University of Colorado and caught the attention of an agent from the Ford model Agency in New York. Her move to France in the year 1980, and lived briefly in Paris as well as Bordeaux prior to deciding to move back to New York to continue with her college education and modeling career and was soon appearing on the covers of Vogue, Glamour, etc. While modeling, she also went to New York University full-time to get a literature degree. When she arrived in New York she began to pursue acting. Her acting debut was a role alongside Robin Williams in the 1986 film 'Club Paradise. Her hobbies include ski, white-water rafting windsurfing, and rock climbing.
