Tom Selleck

Tom SelleckThomas William Selleck is an American actor from America. His first role was private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) and for which the actor received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead actor in the Drama Series and won in 1985. Since the year 2010, Selleck has co-starred as New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. Beginning in 2005, he has portrayed struggling police chief of small-town Jesse Stone in nine television films that were based on the Robert B. Parker novels.In films, Selleck has played bachelor architect Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and its sequel Three Men and a Little Lady (1990). In addition to his roles in Magnum, P.I., Selleck has been seen in more than 50 movies and television shows, which include the movies Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He played the recurring television part of Monica Geller's love interest, Dr. Richard Burke in Friends, as Lance White (the likeable but naive) in The Rockford Files and as A.J. Cooper in Las Vegas. He also played a lead role in the western television film The Sacketts, based on two of Louis L'Amour's books.Selleck is a California Army National Guard veteran as well as a spokesperson for the National Rifle Association (NRA) as well as an endorser in ads for National Review magazine, and co-founder of the Character Counts! organization.
